Last Day - Part I

Our last day was spent at the beach - although it was a bit cloudy - we enjoyed it til the very last minute!  We left on Sat. morning at 7:30 a.m. and arrived at 10:00 p.m in Tulsa.

Destin - Relax Day

On the way to golf, the guys saw a rainbow. They got rained out and had to come back because it poured there and they couldn't use a golf cart on the greens.

Full Day at the Beach

We spent the entire day at the beach and no one got too burned. We were religiously putting on the sunscreen.  Anyway, we spent time in the water on rafts, Leland did some snorkeling, we played volleyball and relaxed in the sun. Fantastic!

Destin - Day 2 our Home away from home

Sat. July 5...After checking out of our hotel, we moved all of our things to the house... for the week!!  What a beautiful home.  We love it.  The views are fantastic and we are right in the middle of all the action but just enough peace and quiet.  Our pool and deck area is amazing!! We have already taken full advantage of it.  Not too much at the beach just yet because of our late start but there is plenty of time for that.

The Clampetts have arrived..  this is how they towed the trailer all the way from Oklahoma.

Fireworks from our balcony

We watched fireworks from our balcony.... Since we don't have our beach house until Sat., we stayed at a very nice Comfort Inn.  We couldn't really get a good shot of the shows, but, we were able to see several different pockets of shows and avoided all crowds.  We ate deli sandwiches and sang the Star Spangled Banner.  The only thing missing was my baby brother.  We miss you buddy and are thinking of you every second of the day! Thank you for you and the rest of the troops over there for your bravery so that we can enjoy our freedom!  We don't take it for granted!
